NEMOHAMO is such a special and unique brand. Besides being from my beautiful hometown of Kyoto, they truly impressed me by growing their own panax ginseng at their organic ginseng farms, source other ingredients locally, and paying attention to every little detail, including harvesting, manufacturing, quality, sustainability and eco-friendliness. Their manufacturing facilities support disabled people, and they feed leftover plants to the animals, and also use them as fertilizer. I wish more companies would follow in their footsteps. To me, NEMOHAMO is a true Japanese brand that respects nature, people, the planet and craftsmanship with integrity.

You can tell I am so passionate about this brand…now let’s talk about the most important part: their products. NEMOHAMO Booster Oil and NEMOHAMO Anti-Aging Lotion are amazing for age management, great for improving texture, fine lines and wrinkles, dryness and dark pigmentation. After you cleanse your skin, you apply a small amount of the booster oil first, then apply the lotion afterward. You may be surprised to hear that the booster oil comes before the lotion, but believe me, this is the best way! The booster oil is formulated with low molecular oils, which are relatively hydrophilic (water-attracting oil). So, booster oil and lotion work synergistically, helping to improve skin barrier function by emulsifying together on top of your skin, penetrating the skin, delivering nutrients, and preventing water loss, and giving your skin a healthy, radiant glow!

Kyoko’s tips

The beauty of these two products is that you can adjust the amount based on your skin condition. If your skin is dry, you can apply 2-3 drops of the booster oil, then a quarter-size amount of lotion. If your skin is oily, you can apply 1-2 drops of the booster oil, then a bit more than a quarter-size amount of lotion. The booster oil is great for lips and body too!
